چکیده
This work aims at evaluating advancement in water shut-off performance using nanocomposite hydrogel (PVP-ZnO:RF) prepared from PolyVinylPyrrolidone (PVP); used as polymer, Resorcinol-Formaldehyde (RF); a crosslinker and nano Zinc Oxide (ZnO); strength modifier it was compared with conventional (PVP:RF) i.e. , without ZnO nanofiller. The ZnO, nanofiller this work, successfully bio-synthesized ( green route synthesized) plant extract Moringa oleifera leaves ) the average size found to be 10 nm. In research effect of on gelation time, gel strength, thermal stability, rheological properties systematically evaluated. On incorporation nanofiller, time decreases but increases. stability studied Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) that depicts maximum tolerable temperature increases 86 °C 92 0.5 wt.% concentration (PVP). mechanical demonstrates infusion has significantly enhanced dynamic moduli storage modulus G ′) loss ″)). Moreover, optimum results ″) are high permeable streak, terms percentage reduction permeability, 97% 92% for (PVP:RF), respectively. Also, residual resistance factor is 31.31 12.71 PVP-ZnO:RF PVP:RF hydrogels. Thus, developed may promising solution excessive production mature oil fields.

To provide supplementary oil recovery after the primary and secondary processes, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques are introduced. Carbonated water injection (CWI) as an EOR method can improve sweep efficiency and the risk of gas leakage. On the other hand, the interfacial tension (IFT) is one of the key factors which can affect fluid displacement during the process of CWI greatly. Therefo...

Emulsification of produced immiscible mixed liquid of oil and water is a problem frequently recognized in surface production facilities in oil fields. The formed emulsions are required to be demulsified to avoid the negative consequences on piping and processing equipment. Nowadays, chemical demulsification is a preferable method to avoid or retard emulsification during the process of oil treat...

متن کاملPerformance of Sulfonated Polyacrylamide/Chromium Triacetate Hydrogels for Water Shut-off Treatment
A hydrogel was prepared by crosslinking aqueous solutions of sulfonated polyacrylamide/chromium triacetate for use in water shut off operations. Gel swelling and the effects of salinity, injection time and flow rate on residual resistance factor (Frr) were investigated. In the presence of electrolytes, gel swelling decreased by about 80%. Results showed that oil permeability increased as inject...
